Rainbow Antenatal has one very simple aim - to ensure that parents navigating the journey of pregnancy following loss don't have to do so alone.

Whilst each parent and pregnancy is unique and no two paths are the same, there are often common themes that rainbow parents experience which make their pregnancies particularly challenging.

In the UK one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage and between one in ninety and one in a hundred women live through the shattering experience of recurrent miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Approximately 70% of women who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby through stillbirth will be pregnant again within a year. This means that their new pregnancy unfolds in the context of bereavement and grief and often on-going trauma.

Rainbow Antenatal understands that a rainbow pregnancy is founded on a blend of co-existing emotions - grief and hope, loss and longing - and that these overlap at different points across the weeks and months of pregnancy.
