Rainbow Antenatal is founded by Juliette Ward, Specialist Bereavement Midwife and Antenatal Teacher.
Juliette has worked in a variety of maternity settings and is now a Specialist Bereavement Midwife at a large NHS hospital. As well as wanting the best care for rainbow parents, she has a particular interest in helping parents feel well prepared for labour and trains other midwives and health professionals in breathing and relaxation techniques for labour. Juliette has run Lamaze antenatal classes for over ten years and as well as being a fully qualified midwife is also a skilled and experienced antenatal teacher.
This combination of experience means she is uniquely placed to offer optimal support to rainbow parents and share her passion and expertise with other practitioners and healthcare professionals.
Juliette is fully registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a member of The Royal College of Midwives. She regularly undertakes training to ensure her skills and knowledge are up-to-date and based upon the latest evidence.
To complement these professional qualifications Juliette has completed training to Associate level with The Active Birth Centre, London and is experienced in teaching mindfulness breathing and relaxation techniques.
Juliette has recently been nominated by two of the families she has supported in their rainbow pregnancies for a Butterfly Award 2017.
